The plating is an extra thick coating of 3 microns of 18 carat gold to ensure durability and long lasting wear. The pendant depicts the head of Apollo, twin brother of Artemis, god of medicine and healing, poetry and music and the mediator between Gods and men. The God of sun and light he affords help and wards off evil.
